Guide to American History
Guide to American History
This study guide is designed to assist the student of American history in locating the most important
materials contained in the Howard-Tilton Library. It is a selective guide, and not intended to be a
comprehensive listing of holdings. For a more complete list of holdings, please consult a TULANET
terminal under the subject heading of United States--History. For regional or state histories use the
subheading --History after the name of the region or state. For the most part, this guide excludes
materials in the history of specific time periods, regional areas, or subjects, although a few of these
have been included. Also, some reference materials on American studies have been included.
REF or REF BIOG at the end of a call number indicates that the book is located in the
reference area on the first floor. If you need assistance in locating these or other library materials,
please ask at the Reference Desk.

GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS

partial Federal Depository Library and as such gets about 65% of all Government publications.
Reference help is available in Government Documents during all hours of its operation.
