| Benefits | What can I expect at New Hire Orientation? The purpose of new hire orientation is to introduce you to Tulane University. During this time you will meet members of the Human Resource staff and other new hires. You will receive information on policies and procedures at Tulane University and you will be introduced to the benefit packages and asked to make your elections for coverage. Tulane University is committed to provide you with the information that you need as a new employee. For this reason, orientation sessions are held every Tuesday at either the Uptown campus or the Health Science Center. If you would like to find out when the next Orientation session takes place, please refer to the orientation calendar. The uptown orientation begins at 9:00 am and lasts until 12:30 noon and the downtown orientation begins a 8:30 am and lasts until 3:00 pm with a lunch break from 12:30 - 1:30. The following is an outline of information covered. Please review this information before orientation so that you will be able to ask questions and make informed decisions.
