Stanley Henshaw, Ph.D., is a sociologist and senior fellow at The Alan Guttmacher Institute.  He has authored or co-authored over 60 articles and publications on aboriton utilization in the United States and internationally, abortion policies and services, teenage pregnancy and family planning.  Most recently, he co-authored a volume of reading and statistical tables on induced abortion internationally.  He has served as expert witness in numberous legal proceedings involving abortion restrictions.  With colleagues at The Alan Guttmacher Institute, he conducted two cross-national studes of family planning services and teenage reproductive behavior.  For six years, he served as member of the board of directors of the National Abortion Federation.
