Chris Castle is a Program Associate for the Horizons Project, seconded from the International HIV/AIDS Alliance based in London.  Horizons is a 5 year USAID-funded operations research project designed to identify components of effective HIV/AIDS programs.  Within Horizons Mr. Castle focuses on NGO capacity building issues, including studies on care and support, stigma and discrimination and community development and mobilization. 

Before joining Horizons, he worked at a British development NGO called HealthLink (formerly AHRTAG) as the coordinator for their AIDS and Sexual Health Program for seven years.  He has 15 years of experience working on sexual and reproductive health in developing countries, including work with the Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and several UN agencies including WHO, UNICEF and UNAIDS.  Mr. Castle has a BA in International Studies and French from The American University, and a MSc. in International Relations from the London School of  Economics.
