Supplementation
Program Description
	Vitamin A supplementation was conducted along wit polio immunization through the National Immunization Day. The programme began in 1998 and targeted children 6-59 months.
	There is no policy to address vitamin A supplementation for mothers within 8 weeks of delivery, but it is under consideration.


Capsule Information
	7,000,000 capsules imported into the country at a cost of $1,250,000.

	Vitamin A supplementation given to malnourished children through health clinics.

Food Fortification
	Foods that are currently being fortified are oil and margarine. Approximately 80% of the each commodity is fortified.
	Both of these programs are implemented, but only the oil program is monitored.
