     There is legislation to address iron deficiency in Nicaragua.
    

There have been no documents published stating the national policy.

     There is no national policy on iron supplementation for women nor for children. 
     There is a national policy for iron fortification in Nicaragua

     Ministry of Health - The agency's function are to coordinate and monitor ID activities as well as coordinate the National National                   Commision of Micronutrients.
