Legislation on VAD

     There is VAD legislation in Sudan that was established in 1992, and this policy has been significantly revised. 
     This legislation began in 1988 and focuses on national policy and guidelines that were issued in 1992.  Policy also requires dietary diversification coupled with supplementation twice a year for both preventive and curative areas. 
     This legislation focuses on supplementation and dietary diversification.

      Government Agency for VAD: National and State Nutrition Departments.  Agency's  function is coordination and monitoring.
