Strategies for Reducing Child Malnutrition in Selected Asian Countries
The Regional Techical Assistance (RETA) Programme, sponsored by the Asian Development Bank and UNICEF

The Asian Development Bank and UNICEF have taken an initiative to establish a Regional Technical Assistance (RETA) programme to undertake an in-depth situation analysis in priority Asian countries and suggest strategies for reducing childhood malnutrition based on experiences in the region.  The major objective of these studies is to raise awareness among the policymakers that child nutrition is an important public policy issue and suggest country-specific strategies for reducing malnutrition.  These studies -- being undertaken in seven Asian countries -- would also provide an investment plan linking these strategies.

The following Country Reports are "abridged" from the original Strategy and Investment Plans and focus on micronutrient-related problems, programmes, policies and investment strategies:

Bangladesh
Cambodia
China
