Why Mexico City?
Mexico City, sometimes called the Paris of Latin America, is a world center for art, literature, music and theater. The city provides a perfect environment improve your Spanish and to learn of the diversity of Mexican culture. Experience first-hand the cultural uniqueness of our neighbor to the south while earning college credit. Courses include trips to museums, festivals, ruins, and Native American markets where you will see what you study in class.
Who May Attend?
The Summer in Mexico program is open to all presently enrolled college students in good academic standing and maintaining at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average. Knowledge of the Spanish language is not required for most courses.
Where Will I Live?
Students are housed with selected Mexican families. The families are screened by our sister university i Mexico (The Universidad Iberoamericana). Students will, in most cases. share their room with a fellow North American student participating in the program. Homes are located on the subway line and bus lines, providing quick and easy access to all the museums, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops of Mexico City. The Universidad Iberoamericana is located in the far west central quadrant, 30 minutes by subway from downtown Mexico City.
