Friday, April 7, 12-2pm, Newcomb Faculty Lounge (Room 114) Newcomb Hall
Discussion moderated by Katherine Gracki (Department of French and Italian).

This event will focus specifically on the pragmatic
issue of graduate student marketibility. Issues to be raised include:
how to prepare for academic AND non-academic jobs
postdoctoral opportunities
preparing supporting materials/dossier
interview strategies
negotiating job offers (as they pour in...)
We will have some faculty participation to provide
advice from across the academic divide and give us an inside look at what future employers
want.
A light lunch will be provided.
Contact Katherine Gracki if you'd like to
participate or help organize.
A brief 15 minute informational meeting will be
held after the event. Information on ISN membership and on ISN Executive Board
membership will be provided. Elections will be held at this time.
