       Spring Symposium: 
    Survival Tactics for Graduate Students
      

 

The graduate students in the Department of French and Italian and ISN invite you to participate in our Spring 2000 symposium on issues key to the graduate experience.  In addition to 3 workshops, we have an ongoing VIRTUAL component to this symposium in the form of an archive of documents and a discussion board.   Join us on line and in person to discuss what matters most to YOU!

March Workshop

Conferences/Publishing: Gaining Scholarly Recognition
Thursday, March 15, 12-2pm, Newcomb Faculty Lounge (Room 114) Newcomb Hall Discussion moderated by Cecile Accilien (Department of French and Italian)

This event features graduate students in dialogue with professors to address issues such as:

  • how to get involved in conferences

  • how to organize a conference/conference panel

  • guidelines on writing scholarly articles

  • submitting your work for publication

A light lunch will be provided.
