ANAGLYPHIC STEREOGRAPHY
What, you ask, is anaglyphic stereography? It is a fancy name for 3-dimensional art using two different color filters to produce the illusion of depth. In this case red and cyan 3-D glasses.

Several years ago, I got my first digital camera. At that time, I was also a member of the National Stereoscopic Association (NSA) and had an obsession with View-Master® 3-D photographs. Well, I figured out one day, that by taking two separate photographs, three inches apart, of a still object, I could mimic the effect of depth perception! (To be fair, this is an old trick and quite common knowledge to anybody in the trade, but I ramble.)

By turning one photo cyan, the other red, and superimposing them on top of one another using Adobe Photoshop®, I unwittingly created my first anaglyphic stereograph. Which brings us back to the beginning.

Submitted for your approval: some of the results of my anaglyphic experiments. Click on the photos for a larger image.

You will need the 3-D glasses I speak of for this to be of any value whatsoever. If you would like a complimentary pair, please e-mail me and I will send you some.

You can put 3-D captions in the picture as well.
Holding still while I took two photos of myself was a bit of a challenge.
