You are to participate on the message board with at least a post for each prompt in a lesson. Posts may also be questions, answers to others' questions, or simple comments about the work. The graders and I will be posting prompts and questions of our own to help out. One post a week, however, for weeks when you have been instructed to post, is the bare minimum. To score high marks in class participation, I will expect more. You may post what you like, whether about the class or not, but please remember that the message and bulletin boards are comparable to talking in class. Don't post things that would be inappropriate in a classroom.
From time to time, optional chats are offered. I want you to let me know if you plan to attend this sort of optional chat, and will expect you to let me know if you can or cannot make it.
