Translational Biophotonics Laboratory

The Translational Biophotonics Laboratory is directed by Prof. J. Quincy Brown, and is a part of the Tulane University Biomedical Engineering Department. Research in our laboratory focuses on the development and clinical translation of practical optical technologies, that address critical detection gaps in point-of-care cancer management and basic cancer research. We employ a highly-collaborative team-based approach at the interface between engineering and medicine, working with engineers, clinicians, and scientists to develop and validate new technologies with an eye towards rapid translation to the market.
