Anjali Fernandes joins Sediment Dynamics Group

Dr. Fernandes joins lab

We are pleased to be welcoming Dr. Anjali Fernandes to the Sediment Dynamics Group this fall. Anjali joins us after receiving her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin where she studied the dynamics of submarine sediment routing systems. Anjali has expertise in performing physical experiments on turbidity currents, interpretation of 3D seismic data, and collection and interpretation of outcrop stratigraphy. During Anjali’s post-doctoral work she plans on examining how channelized linkages between terrestrial channels and submarine channels at shelf-edge deltas influence the long time-scale morphodynamics of these systems. Anjali also brings her young pup Maya and all her puppy energy to the group.
