Chen joins TSDS

We are pleased to welcome a new postdoctoral scholar to our research group, Chenliang (Chen) Wu. Chen joined our group during the spring semester of 2023. Chen joins us after receiving an MS degree in Geology from the University of Houston, a Ph.D from Rice University, and a postdoc postion at Yonsei Univeristy. Chen will be working on a range of questions linked to the morphology and stratigraphy of channelized settings. These will include quantifying the erodibility of channel bends as a function of water discharge variability, conditions associated with chute channel cutoffs, and how water discharge variability influences propagation of terrestrial environmental signals to marine settings.
