4 TSDS Group Members travel to Grand Junction, CO to attend SEPM Research Conference

TSDS group members Chris Esposito (PhD candidate) Qi Li (PhD candidate), Anjali Fernandes (Postdoc), and Kyle Straub recently traveled to Grand Junction, CO to attend an SEPM Research Conference on Autogenic Dynamics in Sedimentary system. All group members gave presentations highlighting our group’s work on this topic. The conference included 3 days of presentations and a one day field trip into Colorado National Monument to look at the preserved record of autogenic dynamics in the aeolian and fluvial deposits outcropping in the park. Group members were also treated to an extra half-day in the field, led by two PhD students working with Liz Hajek.
