Straub and Esposito travel to Siberia to attend conference on deltas

PhD candidate Chris Esposito and Straub recently traveled to Istomino, Russia on the shores of Lake Baikal for the 2014 International Deltas Meeting. Istomino, located in the Siberian portion of Russia, is the village with the easiest access to the Selenga River Delta, one of the world’s largest fresh water deltas. The meeting gathered ~40 scientist together for discussion on the current state of deltaic science and included a field trip by boat onto the lake and delta.
