Qi at AAPG 2013

Qi Li traveled to Pittsburgh this May to attend his first conference as part of Tulane’s Sediment Dynamics Group. This year’s AAPG annual convention was held in Pittsburgh and Qi, along with Matt Benson and Kyle Straub presented a poster titled: “Influence of sediment cohesion on basing-filling sedimentation patterns”. The work focused on stratigraphic organization Qi has detected in reduced complexity cellular models of deltas and an experiment, TDB-12-1, done at Tulane which utilized a cohesive sediment mixture.
