1st experiment on Marsh-delta coupling

1st experiment on Marsh-delta
coupling nears completion, which
is part of collaborative project
with University of Arkansas

We are in the final hundred run-hours of the first experiment to explore the influence of marshes on deltaic processes. The experiment is part of an NSF funded collaboration between Tulane University and the University of Arkasas. Kelly Sanks (PhD student) and Sam Zapp (MS student) joined our lab for the summer of 2019 from Arkansas where they are a part of John Shaw's research group. They were joined by Jose Silvestre (PhD student) in designing and conducting this first experiment. Look out for some great quantitative analysis to come in the near future.
