New Delta Basin Experiment (TDB-14-1) begins. Experiment designed to explore shredding of base-level cycles by autogenic processes

PhD candidate Qi Li recently started a new experiment in our delta basin. The experiment, TDB-14-1, is part of a set of experiments designed to examine under what conditions autogenic processes can shred the signal of base-level cycles prior to storage in the stratigraphic record. This first experiment will have high magnitude and long period base-level cycles, which we hypothesize will be stored in the resulting stratigraphy. The experiment is designed to include 125 hours of progradation followed by approximately 620 hours of aggradation, a VERY long run!
