The collection consists of two sets of official handwritten telegrams of the government of Honduras.
The first set, Folders 1 - 9, are all dated November 13, 1890. They relate to developing events during the abortive revolt of General Longino Sánchez, and consist of telegrams both to and from the president of Honduras, General Luis Borgán, the president of Guatemala Manuel Lisandro Barillas, and historian Rómulo E. Durón.
The second set, Folder 10 - 31, are dated April 30 to October 5, 1895. They are comprised of reports and requests directed to the Ministro de Gobernación in Tegucigalpa by various civil servants in provencial towns. Mariano Guillén, Luis Rivera, and Tomás Carbajal in Trujillo are the principal correspondents. While most of the telegrams are concerned with government on the local level- the appointment of officials, their salaries, relations between employees, incompetence in office, the treatment of criminals, request for marriage permits, and attempts toward the beautification of Trujillo- a few mention a meeting between the presidents of Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador in Amapala, and specific relations between Honduras and El Salvador.
