Event and Exhibit: Collections of the Cuban Art Space


 

Exhibit: Shooting a Revolution: Photographs of Cuba

This exhibit features a collection of stunning photographs from the 1950s-60s by major photographers from the United States and Cuba from the collections of the Cuban Art Space in New York. 

The exhibit will be on display November 9th through the 20th in The Latin American Library Gallery on the 4th floor of Howard-Tilton Memorial Library at Tulane University.

Talk: Collecting in Cuba: Art from an Embargoed Nation

Sandra Levinson, founder of the Center for Cuban Studies and the Cuban Art Space, opened the exhibit on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 3PM with a talk on "Collecting in Cuba : Art from an Embargoed Nation." A reception followed.

This event was made possible through an endowment from the Zemurray Foundation in memory of Doris Zemurray Stone.
