Literary Reference Center (LRC) is a comprehensive literary reference full-text database, which provides users with a broad spectrum of reference information from antiquity to the present day. It combines information from over 1,000 books and monographs, major literary encyclopedias and reference works, hundreds of literary journals, and unique sources not available anywhere else.

One-volume encyclopedia contains entries on writers, works and topics in Latin American literature, including survey articles on all the continent's individual countries. The entry for each writer consists of a critical overview of the writer's work written by an expert in the field; a brief biographical sketch; a select list of the writer's primary works grouped by genre where applicable; an annotated list of further reading; and, in some cases one or more essays on individual literary works, followed by a note of editions, translations and further reading. Also includes a title index to the selected works, which contains titles in the ooriginal language and English translation, and a general index.
