EBIO 701 Process of Science in

Course
Objectives
The goals
of this course are as follows:
1)
Students will examine job possibilities and the search process for those with
an advanced degree in science.
2)
Students will write a fundable grant proposal.
3)
Students will gain experience with giving research seminars.
4)
Students learn more about and participate in the peer review process.
Assignments and grading policy:
There
will be 1 proposal (worth 50% of your grade), 3 reviews of proposals (worth 20%
of your grade), and a presentation of research results (worth 20% of your
grade). Overall class participation is worth 10% of your grade.
