| The Sculptor | |
![]() THE SCULPTOR An overgrown garden filled with junk. I am with my son and his sculpture in this yard. I think, "Less talented than this young man have succeeded. If he is organized, he can succeed." I get a box for him, by finally persuading the grocery store manager to let him have one. The female clerk and the manager give me one that was filled with papers. The grocery shelf is in the background of the painting. The bottom of the box falls open. I go to the back of the greenhouse to empty the box. There is a hedge of green peas behind the greenhouse. I am referring to myself, when I think about being organized to succeed. |
