Where are we going?

I don't know man, but we've got to go.

This year's kerouac will be to Nashville on December 1st! If you'd like to come along, email Tiffany Merrimam.

What is a kerouac?
It is a roadtrip sponsored by the Literary Society that allows writers to pile into a 15-passenger van just get away for the weekend to work on their own pieces, share ideas with others, attend workshops, or whatever may be planned for that trip.

Who goes on kerouacs?
Anyone who is a member of the Literary Society can go for it. Anyone who doesn't mind missing a day of classes and really appreciates the inspiration of a roadtrip will especially enjoy.

What do you need to do to get involved?
When kerouac time comes around (one per semester), the Literary Society will send a general announcement out to all its members to hold a meeting. At that meeting we discuss ideas for a destination, cost (usually between $40-$50), eating and lodging arrangements (ranging from camping to someone's home to a Motel 6), and other details. You need to bring a copy of your summary sheet from the Health Center before we leave, and also try to get registered to drive the ASB vans (a short driving test, signup in Tim Bryant's office, 2nd floor of the UC).
