Nicholas R. DiLuzio

| Dr. DiLuzio was the first to use glucan, a yeast derivative, to stimulate
macrophages to mobilize and destroy certain tumors and fight off infections.
Dr. DiLuzio founded Tulane Medical School's Black Summer Research Fellowship Program. He also led the New Orleans Physiology Consortium, designed to enhance the teaching of physiology to minority students. |
