     About Us
Tulane's QSA is the oldest, continuously-operating Gay and Lesbian organization in the state of Louisiana. 2002-2003 marked the 30th year that we'd been out and about on campus. The organization has been run under the names Gay, GALA, BiGALA, and most recently, MOSAIC. We are an alliance that embraces the similarities and differences of all people: gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, and transgendered. As a group, we seek to promote awareness, tolerance, equality, and compassion in order to cultivate a healthy environment for all individuals at Tulane. We provide an open forum for discussion in a safe, nurturing environment, and facilitate fun and enriching social activities for Tulane students.

       Executive Board

Samuel Roecker

My name is Sam Roecker and I’m a sophomore in the Freeman School of Business. I was born and raised in Denver, CO and truly love everything about Colorado. I quickly adopted New Orleans as my second home, and I’m currently working on eating my way around the city. In High School, I was president of my school’s GSA and the captain of my rowing team. I love to ski, row, and eat, and as my friends will say, I never stop talking about politics and planes.

I’m truly excited to serve as president of QSA, and I look forward to meeting the new freshmen class.

Executive Vice President

Mark Labadorf

Hey y'all, my name is Mark and I am in the Tulane class of 2014. I'm originally from Port Washington, New York but am now proud to call NOLA my home. More often than not, you can find me rollerblading or chilling with my friends in Audubon Park, my favorite place in the city. I am majoring in International Development and Sociology so if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me!

Vice President of Finance

Patrick Bushnell

Patrick Bushnell is a sophomore from Houston Texas. He is studying Business, and is considering double majoring, or minor-ing, in Gender and Sexuality Studies. On campus, Patrick is a Resident Advisors in Butler and a brother in Alpha Kappa Psi, the co-ed business fraternity.  Around Nola, he enjoys Audubon Park, Magazine St, and the French Quarter.

Other interests of Patrick’s include swimming, theatre, watching glee and wasting massive amounts of time on Facebook.

Vice President of Administration

Blake Holbrook

Hi! My name is Blake and I love swimming, reading, and long walks on the beach. I’m tentatively pursuing degrees in economics and political science but that’s subject to change cuz I’ll only be a sophomore this coming year. I hail from Seattle, WA but I’ve quickly learned to love New Orleans. Both cities are pretty liberal and rainy so I feel right at home. My favorite places in NOLA have to be the levee (let’s hope it reopens soon!) and Zotz Coffee on Oak Street. The levee's great for frisbee, sunning, and appreciating nature, and Zotz is a funky favorite for homework.

I’ll be an OC during Welcome Week so look for me there. I look forward to seeing you on campus!

Vice President of External Affairs

Jack Hilton

I’m originally from Marshfield, Massachusetts and study entrepreneurship and comparative politics here at Tulane. Traveling is my favorite hobby; I backpacked Germany and Russia the past two summers respectively. I’m also an amateur pilot and love flying whenever I’m home. In the past, I’ve been involved on Question 1 in Maine to help protect marriage equality, as well as transgender equality issues in Massachusetts and working to end the FDA ban on gay men donating blood.

I’m really looking forward to meeting the incoming freshman and trying to get people involved on campus.

Vice President of Programming

Hannah Marler

My name is Hannah Marler and i'm a sophomore studying Public Health and Political Science. I am from Thibodaux, LA, and yes, my backyard is a swamp. The board likes to consider me the handyman of the club, but don't be fooled I do not carry a tool belt. I enjoy exploring the city and especially The Bourbon Pub on Tuesdays for ladies night.

M. Scott Tims

Scott is the Director of the Office of Wellness and Health Promotion; affectionately known as theWELL. Originally from Pell City, AL he enjoys New Orleans immensely.

Ryan Jasen Henne

Ryan is the Associate Director of Student Education for RHA. He is originally from Sneads Ferry, NC, but has quickly become a New Orleans native.
