How it arrived: The Multiflora rose came to the United States from Japan in the 1800s to be used for ornamental purposes.

It's Spreading to: It has spread all through the United States.

Threat: Multiflora rose has become a problem because of its reproductive method, particularly the ability of its seeds to endure many hardships.

Damage: This plant forms dense thickets which prevent other plants from living in the area.

Control: The multiflora rose can be restrained by mowing it and through the use of herbicides.
