A dedicated teacher and energetic performer,
Amy Pfrimmer's singing career encompasses a wide variety of repertoire, including opera, operetta, concert, recital, and musical theatre.

Career highlights for the soprano include her association with jazz pianist/composer Dave Brubeck which  led to her recent London Symphony Orchestra debut, followed by her European debut with the German Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz in Brubeck's Christmas cantata La Fiesta de la Posada. Pfrimmer's opera and operetta credits have included engagements with L'Opéra de Montréal, New Orleans Opera , Florida Grand Opera, Virginia Opera, Mozart Festival Opera/Teatro Lirico d'Europa, Shreveport Opera, Michigan 's Opera Grand Rapids, Florida's Pensacola Opera, Opera Birmingham, and the Ohio Light Opera.

In concert, Pfrimmer has appeared with the London Symphony Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Santa Barbara Symphony, Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, Baltimore Choral Arts Society, New World Symphony, Miami Chamber Symphony, Alabama Symphony, Baton Rouge Symphony, Houston's Orchestra X, New Jersey's Ocean City Pops, and the Lake Charles Symphony .

In New Orleans, she has also appeared with Tulane Summer Lyric , NORD Theatre and the True Brew Theatre. Pfrimmer's successes also include her New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival appearance with the Dave Brubeck Quartet and Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in Brubeck's classical jazz mass To Hope! Additionally, Pfrimmer was heard as the vocalist in a nationally televised Target commercial.

Pfrimmer attracted considerable attention as a national finalist of the Metropolitan Opera's National Council Auditions. Among the awards she has received are a fellowship from Louisiana Division of the Arts, study grants from the Metropolitan Opera's Education Fund, and the Florida Grand Opera's Evelyn P. Gilbert Artist of the Year award (for Drusilla in L'incoronazione di Poppea) .

Pfrimmer is an alumna of the distinguished young artist programs of the Florida Grand Opera, Virginia Opera, and Chautauqua Opera. She received her Master of Music degree from Loyola University of New Orleans, where she studied with Professor Philip Frohnmayer. Pfrimmer obtained her Bachelor of Music degree from Louisiana State University, where her teachers included Martina Arroyo, Dr. Sandra Kungle and Patricia O'Neill. Other influential voice teachers include Arthur Levy and Mary Henderson Buckley.

Prior to joining the Tulane University music faculty, Pfrimmer taught as an Artist in Residence at the University of West Florida and was a voice instructor at Loyola University of New Orleans.
