tMt Studio

The tMt Studio is a sophisticated computer music studio geared toward the creation of electro-acoustic music. At the center of the studio is a Pro Tools|24 TDM HD system, with Digidesign PRE 8 preamps, Digidesign 192 i/o AD/DA converters, and an Apogee Big Ben master clock. The studio provides an excellent listening environment featuring 8.1 channel surround with Event Studio Precision monitors, and a Yamaha 02R96 digital mixing console and control surface. The studio is fully equipped with music production software. DAWs include Pro Tools 7.4.2 TDM, Logic Pro, Digital Performer 5, and SoundTrack. Software instruments include Native Instruments Komplete 5, Vienna Symphonic Instrument with the Vienna Symphonic Cube including the Solo Strings Extended Library, MOTU MachFive, MOTU Symphonic Instrument, Pluggo, FXpansion BFD, and Reason. Sound design tools include Peak Pro, Sound Soap, and numerous plugins including the Waves Platinum Bundle 7, pluggo, GRM Classic TDM Bundle, and more. Interactive music software includes MAX/MSP, Pd, SuperCollider, Chuck, Reaktor, and others. Sibelius and Finale are available for music scoring and Final Cut Pro for video editing. The studio runs on an 8-core Mac Pro with a 30 inch cinema display. Other hardware includes DAT machines, cassette tape decks, MOTU Midi Express 128, and several synthesizers and samplers.

A wide variety of microphones is available, including pairs of AKG C414s B-ULS, Earthworks QTC40, Rode NT 1A, Rode NT5, Beyerdynamics M130, and Shure SM57s and 58s, and a Shure Beta 52A
