General Information
Have you ever wondered about the tremendous variety of birds that you see in
Louisiana or have you ever wanted to teach your students about the incredible seasonal migrations of birds through Louisiana?  Here is your chance to make birds a part of the life of you and your students.

This will not be an ordinary workshop.  Although you will be busy and active during the entire workshop, you will also be well fed and having fun. This workshop will introduce you to a variety of bird-themed classroom and schoolyard activities. All of the activities will be based on current content-standards, and many will incorporate emerging computer and internet technologies.  These activities will be demonstrated by professional development trainers coming from the top science education institutions in the country.  Your participation in this workshop will be rewarded with continuing support and interaction with local professional bird scientists (ornithologists) and other area teachers via a web-based interactive forum.
