Scope and Content
The Evella Atkins Collection has a wide variety of materials relating to Newcomb and Tulane history. Perhaps created as a history of Tulane/Newcomb, the collection includes copies of many newspaper articles, including an entire folder with clippings about a 1968 Hullabaloo censorship issue.
There are also eight or nine Newcomber booklets that span many years.
Organization and Arrangement
The collection has been arranged roughly chronologically and topically. Wherever possible, information has been separated into Newcomb and Tulane sections.
