Biographical/Historical note

A Florida native, Tee Corinne completed her freshman year at Newcomb and then transferred back to Florida, where she received a B.A. from the University of South Florida in 1965. In 1968, she received her M.F.A. from the Pratt Institute.

Tee Corinne is both an artist and writer, and makes a living as both. Ms. Corinne's images have been published in the U.S. Women's Movement Press since 1974. She has written six books; she also edited and supplied the photography for at least three different publications.

Ms. Corinne was a featured speaker at the second National Women in Photography Conference (1988). She has delivered papers at the following: the Women's Caucus for Art (1983, 1986, 1988, 1989), National Women's Studies Association (1979, 1980, 1981, 1984), Birkshire Conference on Women and History (1980, 1981, 1987), and the College Art Association Conference (1991, 1992). In 1991, she was chosen by the Lambda Book Report as one of the 50 most influential lesbians and gay men of the decade.

The bulk of this collection is published monographs, both written and edited by Tee A. Corinne, in the subject of lesbianism, erotic stories, and poetry. The material, which covers the period from 1950 to 1994, may be helpful to researchers in the genre of lesbian writing and art.
