Biographical/Historical note
The Junior Philharmonic Society was incorporated as a non-profit, cultural organization in the State of Louisiana in 1948 by Katherine Nolan Kammer. Since then, the organization has provided a venue for young musicians and dancers and has often worked in connection with Newcomb College and Tulane University.
