Biographical/Historical note
Eleanor Kohlmeyer, NC 1925, who received a B.Design, was active in the Newcomb College Mandolin and Guitar Club, the Newcomb Orchestra, the Newcomb Athletics Association, and the indoor baseball team, in addition to her bookbinding. This archive includes several photographs of Ms. Kohlmeyer in the above mentioned clubs during 1923-24.

Nature Studies art portfolio, drawings and watercolors created from 1924-1925 (includes pencil sketches (mostly nudes), pen and ink drawings (various subjects), watercolors (mostly flowers and abstract designs), and posters and advertisements. There are about 70 items here and include some pen and ink drawings of heads, forms, and a bed; a large pen and ink drawing of a crane (?); “Visit the Zoo”; many watercolor studies of flowers, repeating designs, and a wagon; some large watercolor posters: “Tryouts,” “Hansell’s Good Books,” “D.H.
