Biographical/Historical note
Susan Tucker has served as the curator of books and records of the Newcomb Archives and Nadine Vorhoff Library since 1989. Beth Willinger served as the director of the Newcomb College Center for Research on Women from 1982-2007.
Scope and Contents note
This collection concerns the history of Newcomb College 1886-2006 and the period 2006-2011. These were research files created by Susan Tucker and Beth WIllinger in editing an anthology, "Newcomb College 1886-2006: Higher Education for Women in New Orleans." Some of the folders contain copies of materials in archival collections. Also contained here are information of the history of scrapbooks, women in New Orleans, and other women's colleges.
