Biographical/Historical note

Mary Frances Ready of Meridian, Mississippi, graduated from Newcomb College in 1957 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She then continued to reside in New Orleans, working for local insurance companies. Ms. Ready went on to receive her Masters degree in Education from University of New Orleans in 1983 after having first attended the Notre Dame School of Theology. Ms. Ready later pursued a career in massage therapy.

Scope and Contents note

This collection spans from 1945 to 1983. Most of the material consists of correspondence from Mary Frances Ready to her mother, Mrs. J. Donovan Ready. Included also in the collection are school report cards, recital programs, and graduation announcements.
