Biographical/Historical note

Rosalie Roos Weiner was an art student and arts crafts worker at Newocmb Colelge from 1923 until the late 1930s. She practiced metalworking and jewelry making, working in silver, copper, brass, tin, and gold.

Scope and Contents note

The portfolio here may be considered an example of bookmaking at the College, as well as an example of the types of exercises students undertook to learn art. Weiner produced pages on particular artists, writing about their work and pasting in examples. Also included are a few other materials representative of cooking and other interests.
