- Click transform on the tool bar and select the compute function.
- In the box marked target variable, type in logirr99 (the variable doesn't exist, but it will be created).
- In the box below where it says functions, scroll to find LG10(numexpr), click on it, and then click the arrow next to functions. LG10 should now be in the numeric expression box.
- Scroll through the list of variables and click on irr99, then click on the arrow to the left of the numeric expression box. Irr99 should now be in the numeric expression box between the brackets next to LG10.
- Click OK.
The logarithmic transformation is now
complete. Go through the last five steps again using cult in place of irr99.
Be sure to type in logcult as the name
of the target variable.
The transformed variables should look like
