The following is a list of available computerized dietary analysis systems :
- DINE Windows includes 5,656 foods and analyzes them for 25 food components,
including animal protein and fat, plant protein and fat, aspartame, and a limited number
of vitamin and minerals. It does not analyze for many important vitamins and minerals and
does not have a large variety of analysis options.
- Food Processor II includes 2,400 foods and analyzes them for 30 food components.
Food search and entry is quick and easy, and nutrient values for individual food items can
be previewed while searching.
- Minnesota Nutrition Data System includes more than 16,000 food items and
brand-name foods. The nutrient database provides nearly complete information about 94 food
components for each food item and is updated at least annually.
- Nutri-Calc HD a good basic program that contains 3,477 foods and analyzes them
for 30 food components.
- Nutritionist V includes 4,908 foods and analyzes them for 58 food components. It
has many unique features that can greatly enhance the users ability to analyze and
display the nutrient data from its large database.
- Professional Dietitian has unique operating features that contains 2,900 foods
and analyzes them for 74 food components.
