Patrick Egan is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Tulane University. He teaches courses and conducts research on the politics of monetary regimes, multinational corporations and development, and Gulf South trade patterns.
He earned a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 1999 and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2011. His research has been published in Latin American Politics and Society and Review of International Political Economy. His current book project is on the political and institutional determinants of innovative foreign direct investment in developing countries.
Patrick is from Clemson, South Carolina and lives in Spanish Fort, Alabama and New Orleans, Louisiana.
