| What
is TOUR?
A:
TOUR (Tulane Online University Records) is a Web interface to the
Student Information System maintained by the Registrar's office.
Currently
you can use TOUR to:
- check your
registration status, add & drop classes (available during
registation periods)
- confirm your
registation (available during confirmation periods)
- view your
grades for any graded term
- view your
current or prior class schedule, including courses for the next
term in which you are currently enrolled or waiting
- access
dynamically all course enrollment counts
- change your
Personal Identification Number (P.I.N.)
- update your
mailing addresses, phone numbers & demographic information
- generate
proof of your enrollment for insurance companies, loan companies,
etc.
Q:
Who can use TOUR?
A.
Only Tulane students with a valid Student ID and PIN can access
their individual information via TOUR. However, anyone can view
the "Course Enrollment Counts and Availability" feature by clicking
on the appropriate link on the Registrar's home page.
Q.
Why is TOUR not available 24 hours a day/7 days a week?
A.
The Student Information System accessed by TOUR is
shut down nightly to provide time for updates and data backup.
Q.
How current is the data on TOUR ?
A.
Data on TOUR is real time during business hours for information
such as course enrollment counts & schedules. Grades are generally
posted nightly, so if a grade for a course doesn't appear, check
back the next day.
Q.
When can I expect to see grades on the web?
A.
Obviously, grades will not appear until they are received in our
office and posted. Instructors generally have 48 hours after the
end of an exam to turn in their grades.
