Team Akira

Brock Tice, David Stark, Jonathan Pottle, Hermenegild Arevalo
We are designing a walker that will enable our client, a six year old with CP, to independently traverse sand and other obstacles in his school play yard.

Bad News Bears

Craig Kronberg, Jon Farkas, Andrew Whitford, Jeremy Cohen
Our client has a form of autism. Safety concerns prevent him from riding a bicycle with his family. We are designing a bike that will provide the stability and directed attention necessary.

Team Blue

Stephen Holmberg, Terrell Green, Elizabeth Novick, Nick Bacque
Our client is a home health agency that must deal with individuals who use walkers and/or wheelchairs and who must have oxygen in use at all times. We are designing a system to prevent tripping and tangling of oxygen tubing when the users move about.

The Dream Team

Michelle Pinette, David Houston, Jonathan Stroud, Camille Vong
Our client is a professional with extensive paralysis due to polio. We are designing a system to improve office access to items such as telephone, files, and ventilator.

GANG GREENwave

Fred Woods, IV, Alyssa Alter, Mike Morschauser, Katie Braley
Our client is a professional woman who must drive to several sites each day. Her wheelchair solves mobility problems caused by paraplegia, but she still has difficulty transferring to and from her van's driver's seat. Our design should help her do this.

Greenwave Design

Bo McGehee, Mary-Margaret Seale, Chris Haugh, Jen Leight
Our client is a five-year-old with microcephaly. We are designing a system to enable her to use the same restroom that her preschool peers use.

Innominate

Aaron Sebbag, Ross Doyle, Dustin Taguma, Brent Askins
Our client is the brain trauma rehab unit of a local hospital whose patients sometimes tip over their wheelchairs. We're designing a system to prevent capsizing without compromising attendant access and other safety issues.

MGM Grand

Jennifer Schmidt, Andrew Greenwalt, Philip Romero, Lori Townsend
Our client has spinal bifida and needs assistance with bathing. He's too big to lift in and out of the bathtub he shares with his family. We're designing a transfer and support system to help with this problem.

Grease Monkeys

Nadia Dowla, Jenifer Zinner, Charlie Drinnan, Mark Skopin
Our client, a five year old, has spastic quadriplegia due to CP. She cannot sit stably on the floor, preventing play using both hands. We are designing a trunk support able to grow with her and to go with her to school and back.

Stuck in an Elevator

John Vu, Tung Ly, Matt Winterhalter, Amit Gir
Our client, a 3 year old, has CP and needs some support for stability and play. Our system should support his body and allow him to ambulate independently.

Yam Wars

Melanie Ross, Mike Seymour, Will Yancey, April Austin
For fun and therapy our client needs a tricycle that is stable, lightweight, entertaining, and safe. Our design should provide this while looking attractive.

Wheel of Fortune

Holly Gonzales, Manuel Figueroa, Russell Giveans, Jessica Tyra
Our client is 10. He was born with Spina Bifida and is paralyzed from the waist down. He uses a wheelchair, so he can't join his family and grandparents on the beach. We are designing a chair to allow him to do this.
