11.  Poydras Street looking toward the Mississippi River near South Peters Street.

Buildings at left were demolished in 1964 for the Rivergate. Other buildings along this side of the street were removed soon after to widen the street. Poydras Street, now lined with tall office buildings, was once an important wholesale district. Except for several structures near center right, most of the buildings in this image have been demolished.
