chapter 3 note 3 When a new Tulane University library building was constructed in the 1960s, the old library designed by Nathaniel Curtis Sr. and constructed in 1941, was converted to the Law School. In 1995, when a new Law School Building was completed, the building became available for other uses such as the Special Collections of the Tulane Library, Latin American Studies, and the Classics Department which includes the Jewish Study Program. Curtis restored the infrastructure of the building and redesigned the plan to accommodate different uses and new educational technologies in a manner which he felt his father would approve. |
