Tulane Outreach to Romania

Welcome to the Tulane Outreach to Romania (TOR) webpage!

We are a student interest group from Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, LA with a particular heart for the medically underserved of Romania. TOR is a sister group of the Daniel Murariu Foundation.

Our purpose

To raise funds for scholarships for an exceptionally talented yet financially in-need student from Romania.
To facilitate an annual trip to Romania, of one week duration, and provide local denizens with health care.
To increase awareness of health care disparities in underserved countries around the world.

The 2010 trip to Romania was a great success!! We are now in the process of preparing and fundraising for the 2011 trip. Please continue to check the website for future updates.

Upcoming events

Medical Mission to Romania!!! This year it will take place during Tulane School of Medicine's spring break from roughly March 24th to April 1st.
Fundraiser at Phillips Bar and Restaurant on Friday January 28th at 10PM. Drink Specials!
Romanian Wine and Food Party on Friday February 11th from 7-11 PM. Location TBA.
