German Children’s Charity

This organization puts an emphasis on placing children at the center of society. They fund projects which involve children: Child Polices Fund, Playgrounds Initiative Fund, Child Culture Fund, Schools Fund, and Media Fund. They also have programs where adults wanting to work with children are able to through consultations, conferences, seminars, working materials, and funding. Awards are presented by them to outstanding projects that concern child culture, playground planning, and web design for children. Through these projects they are able to raise awareness for child-friendliness.

CommunityArts e.V.

The CommunityArts e.V. is an organization promoting inter- and intra-cultural awareness in the youth of South Eastern Europe. This is done through Between the Lines, an 18-month program encouraging tolerance and understanding. The organization also assists the development of local activities and initiatives. Other projects this organization funds are: R.E.L.I.C. – Training for Arts in Education, “Aysa, Sopie, und Jaimo- Geschichten aus Deutscheland.”

European Youth Social Network

The European Youth Social Network’s aim is to encourage young people to have a social commitment to their surroundings. They try to lead society “towards a more social world and a responsible young generation.” They do this through the promotion of high ideals and motivation amongst European youth, opportunities for work experience, and “voluntary social engagement for the mutual benefit of society and young people.”

International Youth Exchange and Visitors’ Service of the Federal Republic of Germany (IJAB)

The International Youth Exchange and Visitors’ Service of the Federal Republic of Germany is “a central agency for international cooperation in the field of youth policy and youth work supported by the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.” Counseling services and information are offered for young people on study abroad programs. They also provide information for students wanting to study abroad in Germany. Support is also provided in the areas of Youth information, education, and training for specialists for the organization of international exchanges for the youth.
