Overview

Look no further! You have found it! This website has all that you need to know if you are looking for any current information and/or statistics concerning the work and family balancing strategy of Sweden! But before you dive into the gold mine of information that is this website, here is a brief overview to assimilate you to the great nation of Sweden.
Sweden is the third largest country in Western Europe, and the Swedes, as the citizens of Sweden are called, have long supported the principles of equality and fairness as a guide to how they live. These democratic values are taught to Swedes at a young age, as their positive effects can be viewed in all levels of Swedish society—from the preschool to the workplace and beyond. The Swedish government provides all Swedes with equal access to healthcare and access to their generous social welfare system, which creates opportunities through social policies that aim to ease the normally difficult task of balancing a career and family life for parents. These policies emphasize equal rights and give working parents flexibility in their working schedules and a place for their children to develop while they are at work.
The information posted on this website is a collection of individual research conducted by three sociology students at Tulane University over the course of one semester. Our research, although not exhaustive, has been gathered from up-to-date and reputable sources.
